Welcome
Between 1974 and 1996, Mark Williams was a world-class contender in national and international martial arts tournaments. Marks talent, dedication, and experience is such that he dominated virtually every contest he entered and he continues to inspire competitors and students alike. In addition to his tremendous record as a fighter, Williams has a well-earned reputation as a top-notch coach and instructor that includes coaching seventeen national taekwondo champions, as well as Herbert Perez (1992 Olympic Gold Medalist). Williams appointments to the coaching staff of the US National Team maintain his active connection to competitive taekwondo. Mark brings the same enthusiasm to teaching students to master techniques as he does to working a new upcoming champion. He is a man who can never seem to do enough for the sport.
In Mark’s words, “I find nothing more enjoyable than working with children. Watching their confidence grow is very rewarding (and great fun). I think martial arts gives them a great foundation for self-discipline and self-respect to help them avoid the pitfalls that are out there—substance abuse, gangs, etc. I think I am more aware of this because of the difficulties of my own childhood. The kids may want to start learning Taekwondo because they’ve seen movies with Jackie Chan, but before long, they’re getting much more out of the sport than they realize. If I can keep them interested so they stick with it, the results will follow them throughout their lives.” Read More...
